Caylee's Law: Still not passed, and probably won't ever be passed.
The passions have cooled, and so far as I can tell, progress on passing this meaningless law has ground to a halt. If nothing else, this basically confirms my gut feeling that the only reason the bill was introduced was to get 15 minutes worth of attention for its sponsors. The 15 minutes have passed, the news cycle churns on, and my initial Terrible Opportunistic Policy Proposal remains just that, a proposal.
